Lore

Son of the Lord Baratheon who had carried the Stormlands through the reign before the Dance, Borros inherited Storm's End with his father's temper and none of his reputation for loyalty to crowns. With four daughters and no son, he spent the early war hunting Vulture Kings in the Red Mountains and answering Rhaenyra's envoys with excuses — his men saying it was his duty to guard the marches from the Dornish instead.

In 129 AC he held his seat while Lucerys Velaryon came begging for the Baratheon swords, and let Aemond One-Eye arrive first, with a larger promise. The boy prince left Storm's End with nothing and died in the skies outside its gates — the war's first murder. Borros kept the Stormlands out of the fighting for three more years.

In the war's final year he at last marched north for Aegon II, and met the riverlords on the Kingsroad in 131 AC. He was cut down leading the charge, and with him died the Green cause's last field army; his king in King's Landing did not long outlast the news of it.
